Nanocharacterisation

The Oxford Fab laboratories enable users to explore nanoscale devices and materials using a vast array of optical, mechanical, and analytical instruments.

The main aim of the Oxford Fab is to fabricate cutting-edge technology at the micro- and nanoscale, but this would not have been possible without the nanocharacterisation and -analysis tools provided. Several spectroscopy and x-ray techniques can be accessed through the Oxford Materials Characterisation Service, together with particle size and thermal analysis tools. Additionally, we have scanning-probe instruments, such as atomic force microscopes and profilometers, available both inside and outside of the cleanroom.

See https://www-omcs.materials.ox.ac.uk/techniques for an extensive list of all the characterisation methods.
